To make sure that coverage was as broad as possible, the development manager for Windows 95 took his pick-up truck, drove down to the local Egghead Software store (back when Egghead still existed), and bought one copy of every single PC program in the store.<\/p>\n<p>\u5728 Windows 95 \u5f00\u53d1\u671f\u95f4\uff08\u6b63\u597d\u662f\u5341\u5e74\u524d\u7684\u4eca\u5929\uff08\u8bd1\u6ce8\uff1a\u672c\u6587\u6210\u6587\u65f6\u95f42005\u5e748\u670824\u65e5\uff09\u5411\u516c\u4f17\u53d1\u5e03\uff09\uff0c\u5e94\u7528\u7a0b\u5e8f\u517c\u5bb9\u6027\u81ea\u7136\u662f\u4f18\u5148\u7ea7\u975e\u5e38\u9ad8\u7684\u4e00\u9879\u4e8b\u52a1\u3002\u4e3a\u4e86\u4fdd\u8bc1\uff08Windows 95 \u7684\u8f6f\u4ef6\u517c\u5bb9\u6027\uff09\u8986\u76d6\u9762\u5c3d\u53ef\u80fd\u5e7f\u6cdb\uff0c\u5f00\u53d1\u56e2\u961f\u7684\u7ecf\u7406\u5f00\u4e0a\u4e86\u4ed6\u7684\u76ae\u5361\uff0c\u5230\u4e86\u672c\u5730\u7684\u4e00\u5bb6 Egghead \u8f6f\u4ef6\u5546\u57ce\uff08\u5f53\u65f6\u8fd8\u5b58\u5728\uff09\uff08\u8bd1\u6ce8\uff1aEgghead Software \u662f\u7f8e\u56fd\u7684\u4e00\u5bb6\u8f6f\u4ef6\u5206\u9500\u5546\uff0c1984\u5e74\u81f32001\u5e74\u95f4\u5b58\u7eed\uff09\uff0c\u628a\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u79cdPC\u8f6f\u4ef6\u90fd\u4e70\u4e86\u4e00\u4efd\u3002<\/p>\n<p>He then returned to Microsoft, unloaded all the software onto tables in the cafeteria, and invited every member of the Windows 95 team to come in and take responsibility for up to two programs. The ground rules were that you had to install and run the program, use it like a normal end user, and file a bug against everything that doesn\u2019t work right, even the minor stuff. (Of course, you had to provide the program to the person investigating the bug upon request.) In exchange for taking responsibility for ensuring that Windows 95 was compatible with your adopted programs, you got to keep them after Windows 95 shipped. If you did a good job with your two, you could come back for more.<\/p>\n<p>\u7136\u540e\u4ed6\u56de\u5230\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u628a\u4e70\u6765\u7684\u6240\u6709\u8f6f\u4ef6\u5012\u5728\u9910\u5385\u7684\u684c\u5b50\u4e0a\uff0c\u5e76\u9080\u8bf7 Windows 95 \u56e2\u961f\u7684\u6bcf\u4e2a\u6210\u5458\u90fd\u6765\u53d6\u8d70\u6700\u591a2\u79cd\u8f6f\u4ef6\u5e76\u5bf9\u6b64\u8d1f\u8d23\u3002\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u539f\u5219\u662f\uff0c\u6210\u5458\u5e94\u5f53\u5b89\u88c5\u5e76\u8fd0\u884c\u6240\u62ff\u5230\u7684\u8f6f\u4ef6\uff0c\u50cf\u4e00\u540d\u666e\u901a\u7684\u6700\u7ec8\u7528\u6237\u90a3\u6837\u4f7f\u7528\u8f6f\u4ef6\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u6240\u9047\u5230\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e0d\u592a\u5bf9\u52b2\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u63d0\u4ea4\u4e00\u4efdbug\u62a5\u544a\uff0c\u5373\u4fbf\u662f\u6700\u7ec6\u5fae\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u4e5f\u9700\u8981\uff08\u5f53\u7136\uff0c\u5f53\u63d0\u51fa\u8981\u6c42\u65f6\uff0c\u540c\u6837\u4e5f\u9700\u8981\u5c06\u7a0b\u5e8f\u672c\u8eab\u63d0\u4ea4\u7ed9\u8d1f\u8d23\u8c03\u67e5\u8fd9\u4e2abug\u7684\u4eba\uff09\u3002\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5bf9\u786e\u4fdd\u6210\u5458\u6240\u8d1f\u8d23\u7684\u5e94\u7528\u7a0b\u5e8f\u6700\u7ec8\u80fd\u4e0e Windows 95 \u76f8\u517c\u5bb9\u7684\u52aa\u529b\u7684\u4ea4\u6362\uff0c\u7b49 Windows 95 \u53d1\u5e03\u540e\uff0c\u6210\u5458\u53ef\u4ee5\u5c06\u8f6f\u4ef6\u672c\u4f53\u636e\u4e3a\u5df1\u6709\u3002\u5982\u679c\u641e\u5b9a\u4e86\u624b\u91cc\u76842\u4e2a\u8f6f\u4ef6\uff0c\u8fd8\u53ef\u4ee5\u518d\u6765\u53d6\u8d70\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u526f\u672c\u3002<\/p>\n<p>The cafeteria was filled with Windows 95 team members, browsing through the boxes upon boxes of software like bargain-hunters at a flea market. And there were the inevitable \u201cWhat\u2019d you get?\u201d comparisons afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>\u9910\u5385\u91cc\u6324\u6ee1\u4e86 Windows 95 \u56e2\u961f\u7684\u6210\u5458\uff0c\u5982\u540c\u5728\u8df3\u86a4\u5e02\u573a\u91cc\u6361\u4fbf\u5b9c\u7684\u4eba\u90a3\u6837\u5728\u4e00\u5927\u5806\u8f6f\u4ef6\u76d2\u5b50\u91cc\u6311\u6765\u62e3\u53bb\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u4e0d\u53ef\u907f\u514d\u5730\u8ba8\u8bba\u7740\u300e\u4f60\u62ff\u5230\u5565\u4e86\u300f\u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u5bf9\u8bdd\u3002<\/p>\n<p>I picked up only one program, an English\/German automatic translator. It ran fine but produced pretty bad translations.
